Director of WPI Economics, Matthew Oakley, chaired a discussion entitled “FinTech Skills: Has Britain Got Talent?” on 20th March at the Innovate Finance Global Summit.
The two day summit boasted 150 speakers and aimed to connect leading innovators, FinTech institutions, investors with policy makers, regulators and international trade bodies.
The “FinTech Skills: Has Britain Got Talent?” talk explored the themes of matching the talents of the UK workforce to key roles in FinTech organistions, current trends in employment and what industry research has found to date.
Panelists included:
– Axelle Sznajer, Partner, Head of FinTech Europe, Egon Zehnder;
– Sam Stamp, Commercial Director, Freeformers; and
– Julian Wragg, Vice President, EMEA and APAC, Pluralsight.
WPI Economics has been conducting research for Innovate Finance looking specifically at the workforce implications of a change in immigration policy on UK FinTech. Innovate Finance will be publishing the report later this year.
