Our focus is on important economic, social and environmental policy debates.
Part of what differentiates us from other organisations is that we don’t do research for research’s sake – we know our clients and partners want to make an impact with our work and influence policy in a way that supports their goals.
Our work centres on big issues such as the future of the green economy, productivity and growth, inequality and mental health. We are driven by a desire to make a difference, both through the work we do and by taking our responsibilities as a business seriously.
We are delighted to have recently passed the B Corporation assessment with flying colours, and to have joined the UK’s community of 2000+ B Corporations. This underlines our commitment as a business to doing work that matters and that can have an impact for our clients.
Our passionate and expert team deliver:
Economic analysis
We use modelling, theory and quantitative and qualitative research to help clients tackle important policy issues. Critically, we provide economics that people understand, making complex issues and analysis easily digestible, which in turn helps our clients and partners to make an impact on people’s lives.
Policy consulting and impact
We work with those seeking to improve policy and directly with policy makers. We shape strategy, from understanding the skills needed to deliver net zero, to making the case for a change in legislation, or designing new ways working within charities. We support our clients from inception through to launch and beyond to ensure the work has the required impact.
Data insight
We analyse complex datasets about people, places and businesses to help decision-makers understand what is going on. Whether that’s on poverty and inequality or the rollout of new technologies like 5G, our work provides information in compelling and high-impact ways. Across many of our headline data projects, our team has successfully applied and been accredited as achieving voluntary compliance with the Office for Statistics Regulation’s Code of Practice for Statistics. This is the same standard that National Statistics adhere to, demonstrating our commitment to robust, credible and impactful data analysis.
