On April 26th, 2017, Matthew Oakley, Director of WPI Economics, presented new WPI Economics research at the launch of Heathrow’s Logistics Hubs strategy. Following introductory remarks from John Holland-Kaye, the CEO of Heathrow Airport Limited, Matthew summarised our findings including the regional economic benefits of off-site construction.

Following this, a panel event was held, chaired by Emma Gilthorpe, the Executive Director of Expansion at Heathrow Airport. Other speakers on the panel included Phil Wilbraham, the Development Director of Heathrow Airport, Kevin Rowan, the Head of Organisation and Services Department at the TUC, and Don Ward, the Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence.
